Local Park and Trail Expansion

If you haven't been to George Pierce Park lately, you might want to give the back of the park a visit. Gwinnett County recently completed a new accessible playground and accessible concrete trail that starts not far from the walkway that connects the park to our neighborhood. If you follow the path by the lower tennis courts and turn right toward the parking lot, you will see the new playground and trail.

In addition, a new extension for the Ivy Creek Greenway has been approved and will begin construction soon. This 1.8 mile section of trail will begin below the back ballfields at George Pierce Park and connect all the way to Westbrook Road not far from the Morning View clubhouse and pool complex. The extension will include some parking at the new trail termination point. It should be a wonderful addition to our community.
