Dear Neighbors,
As many of you may know there has been a great deal of change to the board and committees that help run the Ruby Forest HOA. One big change is the development of the covenant committee. This committee will be in charge of enforcing all covenants that every resident must obey, not just members. The covenants are filed by Ruby Forest with Gwinnett County and it is everyone’s duty to follow them. We will be strictly enforcing covenants that may have been overlooked in the past.
Issues such as, overrun yards, cars habitually parked in the street overnight, making painting/structural changes to yards/houses without board approval, etc. Our first action will be to notify the homeowner of the violation with time to correct the problem. If the problem continues it will be sent to the board where further action will be taken with the homeowner. You can find a list of covenants, and an application for approval at www.rubyforest.net/covenants .
The board will be meeting throughout the year on issues brought up by fellow neighbors. If you feel you have seen a covenants violation please email

and we will discuss the issue as a committee. Again, all improvements planned for the exterior of the homes must be approved by the board. This includes painting, installing a fence, erecting a storage building or porch/patio as well as landscaping changes. To facilitate this process, homeowners should submit a written description of the proposed to

. It is helpful to include drawings and pictures to help the committee better understand your proposal. The covenants committee will review the proposal and pass their suggestions onto the board, which will make the final decision. A change may be allowed with stipulations, meaning that the board will approve the changes provided that certain requirements are met. We are in no way trying to take away personal preference or freedom of your homes, it is simply our plan to help make sure that all residents obey the covenants in order to keep our neighborhood a beautiful place to live. Thanks. Your Covenants Committee and your HOA Board |
