Ruby Forest has protective covenants that were filed at the County Courthouse when the neighborhood was started. The covenants are legal restrictions effectively attached to your deeds. You are bound to honor and obey these covenants regardless of whether you are a member of the homeowners association. If you violate these covenants you can be sued by any other homeowner to force your compliance.

Fortunately, most covenant complaints can be resolved in a less drastic fashion. Many times people are unaware of the existence of the covenants or the specific details that the covenants contain.
