NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING AND BOARD OF DIRECTOR ELECTIONS

Dear Ruby Forest Homeowner Association Member:

The Annual Meeting for the Ruby Forest Homeowners’ Association is scheduled for Sunday, July 2, 2006 at 7:00 PM at the Ruby Forest Clubhouse.   The principal business of this meeting will be the election of homeowners to serve on the HOA Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors is responsible for the operation, maintenance and improvement of Association property which includes the pool, tennis courts, playground, entrance, lake and common areas throughout the community. The Board, along with the Covenants Committee, is also responsible for establishing and enforcing policies within the community designed to maintain the value of the homes. More information regarding Board member duties and responsibilities are outlined in the Bylaws which may be downloaded from the community’s website at www.rubyforest.net.

The Association is governed by a 7-member Board—all seven of which must be filled by election at the meeting.   The officers of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, as well as committee chairs will be elected by the new Board at the first Board Meeting.  You are encouraged to sign up to volunteer on one or more of the Homeowner’s Association’s committees.  Sign up sheets will be available at the Annual Meeting.

To be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors, your membership status must be in good standing—meaning, payment of your 2006-2007 dues must be current.  In response to the Association’s recent email solicitations and newsletters, there are several people who have been nominated to serve on the new 2006-2007 Board.  Attached is a list of those candidates. Nominations may also be made from the floor of the meeting.

Each candidate will have an opportunity to communicate their qualifications to the Members at the meeting.  Candidates may also submit a written statement to Secretary to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for publication on the Ruby Forest website and at the meeting.

Voting shall take place at the July 2, 2006 meeting.  However, in the event that you are unable to attend the Annual Meeting, you may vote for your candidates by proxy using the attached ballot.  You may cast one vote (per lot) with respect to each vacancy—meaning you may vote for up to seven Board Members.  However, pursuant to the HOA Bylaws, there may be no cumulative voting (you may not cast more than one vote for any one candidate).

lease visit the community's website often for the latest information, to view candidate's statements and/or to submit your name electronically if you are interested in volunteering on the HOA Board. Also, if you have any questions, please feel free to email the board by choosing Contact Us on the website.

The Board of Directors thanks you and hopes to see everyone at the Annual Meeting on July 2, 2006.

Yours very truly,

Beth Hilscher, Secretary
